-
Can I distribute music to Spotify from India?Yes. Museiac distributes directly to Spotify from India on all plans starting at ₹1,499/year. Royalties are paid in INR directly to your Indian bank account with no foreign currency conversion required.
-
Can I distribute music to JioSaavn and Gaana?Yes. JioSaavn, Gaana, and Wynk are first-class platforms on Museiac — not afterthoughts like on most global distributors. Distribution to all Indian platforms is included on every plan starting at ₹1,499/year.
-
Is YouTube Content ID included?Yes. YouTube Content ID is included on every Museiac plan from ₹1,499/year. This means you earn royalties from fan covers, reaction videos, lyric videos, and any other YouTube use of your music — automatically.
-
Do I need an ISRC code to distribute music? No. Museiac automatically assigns ISRC codes to your releases if you don't already have them. If you have existing ISRCs (from a previous distributor), you can bring them over — your streaming counts and playlisting history stay intact.
-
Can I switch from DistroKid to Museiac?Yes. Museiac offers free migration from DistroKid, TuneCore, Amuse, and any other distributor. The migration preserves your ISRCs, metadata, and release history with no downtime — your music stays live throughout the transfer.
-
What happens to my music if I cancel Museiac?Your music stays live on all platforms even after cancellation. Museiac does not take down your releases if you stop your subscription. This is unlike DistroKid and some other distributors that remove your music when you cancel.
-
What is the founding member pre-launch offer?Founding members get locked-in discounts and an 85% royalty split for life. ELITE founding price is ₹999/year (normally ₹2,999/year). MAESTRO founding price is ₹2,999/year (normally ₹4,999/year). There are 50 ELITE spots and 20 MAESTRO spots available.
-
How long does it take for my music to go live?Typically 5–14 days from submission to live on all stores. Museiac reviews your release for metadata accuracy and platform compliance within 48 hours, then delivers to platforms. Set your release date at least 5 days out for guaranteed delivery.
-
Does Museiac provide GST invoices?Yes. Museiac provides GST-compliant invoices for all subscription payments. This is important for Indian artists and labels who need to claim input tax credit or expense distribution costs. DistroKid does not provide GST invoices for Indian subscribers.
-
Is Museiac better than DistroKid for Indian artists? For Indian artists specifically, yes. Museiac charges in INR with GST invoices, covers JioSaavn and Gaana natively, keeps your music live after cancellation, and offers a dedicated manager. See the full Museiac vs DistroKid comparison for details.
-
Can bands split royalties automatically on Museiac?Yes. Band royalty splits are supported on MAESTRO and higher plans. You define each member's percentage once — Museiac automatically routes each person's share to their account with no manual transfers required.
